Fun Fact: I met my wife, Melissa, on the swim team (THAC) when she was 9 and I was 10. We have been best friends ever since!
Why I Coach:
My favorite part of coaching/teaching is connecting with the kids and helping them pursue their goals, goals in the pool and out of the pool. I love helping young people grow into strong, confident, productive members of society.

Fun Fact: I have a wife, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old that I absolutely love hanging out with and going to new experiences with as often as I can. I am also HUGE into reading and watching movies, and I’m starting to pick up art again!
Why I Coach:
Coaching originally represented a freedom from the “normal 9-5” job which is why I loved it. Now it’s about giving back to a sport that gave me so much as a younger person.

My Role:
As the Business Manager for the club, I manage billing, accounts, and any other business-related areas of the "dry" side of swimming. If you need to know how to register, how meets work, what is the difference between short-course versus long-course, what are the various cuts and times, and more- ask me! Many aspects of this sport can be confusing and I am always ready to help make that transition easier.
My SSC Background:
I have been at SSC since 2010 when my daughter, Kennedy, began swimming. Kennedy graduated from HSE in 2022 and now swims for the University of Arizona!

Fun Fact: I have been involved with SSC since moving to Fishers in 2001 as an athlete. I took a small break from the sport, but got back involved again in 2018 when my son decided to give swimming a try. Now both of my kids have fallen in love with the sport that I grew up loving on mmy own!
Why I Coach:
With my pre-team kids, my favorite thing ever is watching them finally conquer the one thing that they struggled with the most, that moment you can see it finally just clickskk, and then the moment they get told they are moving up to the club!

I enjoy giving back to the sport that taught me so much and that I loved growing up. I coach to not only inspire the youth of our community but also empower swimmers to reach their goals in and out of the water.

Fun Fact: My wife, Erica, is a teacher at Lantern Road in the HSE school district and our children Ellie, Molly, and AJ all swam for Southeastern. Ellie was an Indiana University Rower, Molly is a graduate of University of Iowa and swam therer, and AJ is a 10th grade HSE Royal Athlete.
Why I Coach:
I love coaching because it is an awesome tool to help young people hone and perfect important life skills that are vital to their future success. Swimming is a tough team sport that demands great time management skills, hard work in the classroom/pool, and great compassion for teammates. I enjoy coaching student-athletes who bring great energy, embrace challenges, and yearn to get better every day.
