Future Royals 3

Congratulations to Abi who got three divisional cuts last weekend at the Thanksgiving Splash! She will be turning 11 soon and is only .15 away from her divisional cut in the 50 back for her new age group too!

Here is a recap of the great swimming this group has done in November:

  • NO DQs
  • 31 best times
  • 8 individual goals met
  • 10 divisional cuts

I am so incredibly proud of the hardwork this group is putting in, both mentally and physically. I have given them some big challenges over the last few weeks and they have been rising to the occasion.

As we head into December, I can't wait to see what the group does. We worked on being mindful in November and will turn our focus to growth this month using those mental and physical challenges to push us forward. Swimming will be focused on building endurance to compete in all 100s and the 200 Free. Our skill focus will be all turns and strong finishes.

Please make sure that your swimmer is bringing all of their equipment to each practice, including tennis shoes for dryland and a water bottle.

ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A Note from Stephanie Miller and Kathy Nelsen:

Hello!
As a way to give back to the community, SSC has partnered with the Fishers Youth Assistance Program (FYAP) to adopt 3 families this holiday season. All Future Royal Groups (1-4) have been matched with a family who has 2 kids and is in need of help.

Kathy Nelsen and I have created  a  sign-up that includes  the  quantity, size, color, preferences, and any additional details that were provided to us from FYAP for the FR family.  Below you will find a sign up to purchase needs, wishes,  general cleaning, hygiene, and food items requested by the family. FYAP noted that unless specified, items do not need to be name-brand.

Beginning Wednesday, November 20th, bins marked with the FR family number (#49) will be placed in the office to the right of the girl's locker room. Please label your item with the family number (either with a sticky note or piece of paper taped to the item) and place it in, or near, the bins. All items need to be in the office to the right of the girl's locker room no later than 6 pm on Friday, December 6thSwimmers who are able to stay after practice that day (starting at 6:30 pm and ending around 7:00-7:15 pm on the 6th) will help organize, wrap, and label the items.

Here is the link to the Future Royal Adopt-A-Family Sign Up!

Please reach out to Kathy or myself with any questions! Thank you for helping make this family's holiday a little brighter!
