Future Royals 3 

We had a great week of practice. We spent time focusing on the little details in our swims that make a big difference and got some good racing in too.

I hope your swimmer brought home and showed you their cards with their meet times and their best times. We had a good discussion on what their goals were for the rest of the season!

This week we will continue to focus on the details and learning to swim fast from the start of a race as we head into the Distance Splash this weekend. We are still working on gaining endurance in all four strokes by doing more sets of each stroke and lengthing the distance that we go when we do them.

This time of year can be really challening for our swimmers. There is a lot going on at school, home and they are working hard at practice. I encourage you to check in with your child about how they are feeling, ask them what they love about swimming and what is challenging them right now. You can also ask after each practice what was something they did well and what is something they need to work on at the next practice. Also, be sure to remind them that you are proud of them!

Please make sure that your swimmer is bringing all of their equipment to each practice, including tennis shoes for dryland and a water bottle.
