Royals 1-2-3 – Week 18

We continue our Christmas break workouts this week.  Attendance has been great so far so let’s keep that up.  This week is as important as last week.

CALENDAR Dec 29-Jan 4

Mon: Royals 2-3 7-9am, All Royals 3-5pm

Tue: All Royals Dryland 7:30-9am, Royals 2-3 3-5pm

Wed: New Years Day, All Royals 8-10am, Breakfast will be provided by the dads.

Thu: All Royals 3-5pm

Fri: All Royals Dryland 7:30-9am, All Royals 3-5pm

Sat: Carmel dual meet @9am

 

MEETS

MLK meet is the weekend of Jan 17-19.  Please sign up for this meet.

Divisionals Mar 7-9, 2025

ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Practice this week:  Make sure you are attending so your attendance does not drop below 80%.

Nutrition:  The first 30 minutes after practice are so important to the swimmers.  They need to refuel their body with water, sports drink or chocolate milk.  They burn so many calories and the body is looking for fuel more fuel to burn.  If they are not going to get a meal right away, a nutritious snack would be good also.  Energy drinks are not good at this time or at anytime during the training periods.

Carmel Dual:  Warmups start with stretching for us in Aux gym at 7:45am.  Meet will start at 9am.

HCC Conference Swim Meet at the IU Natatorium: Next Thursday, Jan 9, we will be swimming in our conference meet.  We will have 3 swimmers in each event and our fastest relay as well.  Don’t know yet if all the other swimmers will travel with us.  That update will come out once we know. 

PAC Meetings:  Will be posting a few more openings this week.  Be ready. 

Absence:  Make sure the swimmers are using the absence sheets.  They need to turn this in before they are absent.  It helps us know who to expect at each practice and I can keep track of those who do not show up.  Thanks for your help.
