Hope everyone is doing okay after all the rough weather we're having. Just wanted to pass on a couple of announcements in case they slipped through your inbox!

A quick reminder: Our first practice back from break is April 15th, Tuesday from 5:20-6:20PM as normal. As far as I know that schedule will remain unchanged until May!

 

Here are the announcements:

1st: Club of the Day opportunity!

Hello SSC Families,

SSC is the Club-of-the-Day at the National Championships on Friday, June 6th, at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis!!  As the Club-of-the-Day, we have the exciting opportunity to be part of this meet with open volunteer spots for various positions throughout our day. These volunteer positions begin at 6:30 am and will run through the completion of finals that evening, with breaks throughout the day.  We need 4 more adult (18 and older, post high school) volunteers. 

If you would like to commit to volunteering, please email your name to Kathy Nelsen at [email protected]. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you do commit to being a Club-of-the-Day volunteer, you must fulfill this responsibility as there isn't the option to hire out or have someone who is not a member of the Club fulfill this responsibility. This volunteer spot will count as 1 shift towards your total meet support shifts required for the year.

Come join us on deck June 6th and represent SSC at the National Championships meet!!

 

2nd: Short Course Banquet!

Our  Short Course Celebration Banquet is right around the corner and we wanted to provide some additional details for the evening.  On Thursday, April 24, our Club will conduct its short annual meeting, followed by a celebration of  the accomplishments of all swimmers from every group!  Food and drinks will be provided and we would like to see every SSC short course swimmer at the banquet to be a part of the recognition and celebration! Please log into your SSC account and add the total number of people from your family that will be attending so we have an accurate count for food. The RSVP deadline is Friday, April 18th.
 
Here is a timeline of the evening
5:30 pm: Main Cafeteria: Food/drinks provided and SSCs annual meeting begins.
6:00 pm: SSC Short Course Banquet begins. 
8:00 pm: Short Course Banquet Concludes
 
Each swimmer will be recognized for their hard work and achievements this season, and we have much to celebrate! We hope to see you there!
