JR2 News! 

Hi everyone!

    Happy Sunday! What a great weekend of racing we had this weekend! I am so proud of all the athletes this weekend and their efforts in the water. LIke I have been saying, they came back motivated for the long course season and it showed in their racing this past weekend. I couldn’t be more proud. That being said, it is time to get back to work this week! We will have a normal week of training this week for the most part. Tomorrow the kids will swim from 5-6:30pm and do a recovery set, but will get back to the grind Tuesday morning. 

    If you missed it, Coach Blake sent out the summer schedule early last week. I highly encourage you all to lean on each other when it comes to getting athletes to and from practice. Utilize the Group Me to find rides for your kiddos or feel free to reach out to me if you need help finding a ride for your swimmer. 

We have Summer Sizzler coming up at the end of May so it’s time to begin prepping for that. The registration deadline for that event is coming up on May 10th. If you have issues signing your swimmer up, please let me know. I would like for athletes to wear tech suits for that swim meet if they are willing and able to. 

    Finally, I am not sure if you all saw, but Kathy Nelsen reached out this week about being a JR2 Team Parent. If you are interested, please reach out to her for more details. Other than that, I hope everyone has a great week!
